Good Points made on CSpans Washington Journal Today

Michelle Bernard and Leonard Steinhorn make good points on C-Span's Washington Journal today. First talking about Dr. Martin Luther Kings new memorial then segueing into the root of Tea Party motivation in their resistance to Baraks Obama's presidency. Leonard makes some interesting comments in reference to a callers comment about how bipartisanship has become the norm and Republicans feel compelled to resist any thing positive Obama proposes. Leonard see his as more of a vicious political struggle but acknowleges that race could be a factor. Republican Senators are using this as a strategy to reinforce the point of big government and Washington being dysfunctional, by making it intentionally dysfunctional. In my view it's the perfect crime. Elect me because I think Washington is broken and let me go to Washington and do a bad job to to prove it. Raising the debt ceiling is the best example. Republicans are willing to hurt the country just to make Obama Look bad and the only reason a lot of people can see for this is institutional racism. Now the budget cuts are affecting middle class citizens and this strategy will backfire as a result. This will be noticible first as families try to get help sending their children to college.

Democrats say Government can be on your side. Republicans are willing to destroy it to prove otherwise.
